Exchanges Policy
This Policy applies to sales made through the Corse Customs group selling entity shown on the quotation, order confirmation or invoice, including Corse Customs (Pty) Ltd, Corse Customs Automotive (Pty) Ltd and Corse Customs DST (Pty) Ltd where applicable. It covers specialist automotive and motorcycle wheels and components, riding gear and apparel, accessories and other goods.

Special-order goods: binding once ordered with our supplier
When a Customer approves an order and Corse Customs confirms it and places the corresponding order with its manufacturer, distributor or supplier, the Customer has made a binding procurement commitment. For qualifying Special Order Goods, a change of mind does not confer a contractual right to cancel, return the goods or receive a refund, even while the goods remain in Italy, are being produced, are in transit or have not yet cleared South African customs. This rule remains subject to mandatory statutory rights.
Vehicle-specific OZ Racing, MSW and Sparco wheels, specialist motorcycle wheels and bike- or car-specific components may have very limited compatibility or resale value. Corse Customs may be unable to return such goods to the supplier and is not required to find another buyer or absorb the Customer’s change-of-mind risk.
Resalable goods: returns only with approval
Some products, including standard motorcycle levers, interchangeable accessories, stocked ROOF helmets and PMJ or Rebelhorn apparel, may be commercially resalable. For change-of-mind requests Corse Customs may, but is not obliged to, approve a return or size exchange. Prior written return authorisation is required. This voluntary policy does not supersede legal rights for qualifying online purchases or other statutory returns.
Discretionary restocking and handling fee
Where Corse Customs agrees to a voluntary return, its ordinary commercial condition is a handling/restocking fee starting at 25% of the purchase price, with the actual charge determined according to supplier charges, freight, customs costs, inspection, packaging, condition and resale prospects. A different fee or waiver may be agreed in writing. Any fee must be reasonable and agreed before the voluntary return is concluded. No restocking or cancellation fee applies where the law requires a refund without that charge.
Condition of voluntarily returned goods
Goods proposed for voluntary return must be unused, clean, complete, unaltered and in saleable condition, with original packaging, manufacturer tags, labels and accessories. Helmets must show no signs of impact or riding use; a reasonable in-store fit check is not automatically disqualifying. Apparel must be unworn beyond fitting and free from damage or alteration. Tyre-mounted, kerbed, fitted, painted, machined or otherwise modified wheels and parts will not ordinarily qualify. An inspection may be required.
How to request a voluntary return
Contact the selling Corse Customs entity with the invoice/order number, product description and reason for the request before returning goods. Obtain written approval and return instructions. Unauthorised parcels may be refused. For approved voluntary returns, the agreed fee and refund method will be confirmed in writing; any refund follows receipt and satisfactory inspection of the goods.
Product quality, conformity and warranty concerns
All products Corse Customs imports or makes available for distribution are selected for their applicable manufacturer specifications, product descriptions and intended applications. Corse Customs sources genuine, high-quality goods through approved manufacturers, distributors and suppliers and does not knowingly sell unsafe, defective, counterfeit or nonconforming products. Every such product is backed by the manufacturer warranty applicable to that specific product, subject to its stated coverage, period, conditions and exclusions. Corse Customs will honour and administer valid manufacturer-warranty claims for products it has supplied, including arranging manufacturer assessment and the applicable remedy. Customers may request the applicable product-specific warranty terms. If a customer raises a credible concern about a manufacturing defect, incorrect specification, safety or conformity, Corse Customs will investigate and, where appropriate, liaise with the manufacturer. Mandatory statutory rights, including those under sections 55 and 56 of the Consumer Protection Act where applicable, are not conditional on manufacturer approval and remain unaffected. A customer changing their mind about correctly supplied goods does not constitute a defect and does not create a voluntary right to cancel a qualifying Special Order.
Delivery, supplier and customs delays
Supplier dispatch and delivery estimates are indicative unless a binding fulfilment period or delivery date is expressly agreed. Carrier tracking enables an informed shipment forecast, but does not guarantee delivery or customs clearance. Express or air freight may be delayed by airline schedules, manufacturer lead times, war, sanctions, freight operators, SARS Customs and Excise, inspections and other external events; delays can exceed 21 calendar days. Corse Customs will take reasonable steps to update customers. Statutory and agreed delivery and cancellation rights remain effective.
Online purchases and statutory exceptions
Where the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act applies, qualifying electronic transactions may carry a seven-day cooling-off right after receipt, and legal fulfilment rights. Certain goods made to customer specifications or clearly personalised may be exempt from cooling-off rights; merely sourcing an ordinary catalogue item internationally does not establish that exemption. Where a statutory right applies, its conditions and time limits govern over this voluntary policy.
Interpretation
This Policy forms part of the Corse Customs Group Sales Terms and Conditions V1.0. In a conflict with any mandatory law, that law prevails. The selling entity identified on the transaction is the party responsible for that sale. This Policy may be updated for future purchases, but not retrospectively to remove accrued rights.
Important customer notice
SPECIAL ORDER: Once Corse Customs confirms your order and places it with its supplier, no voluntary change-of-mind cancellation, exchange or refund is available for qualifying special-order products, whether delivered or not. All statutory rights remain unaffected.
